Diigo: The all-in-one research tool

Research is part of our everyday lives. Often times however, we forget the information learned while researching or lose track of where the information was found. This can become especially challenging when citing sources in a paper or writing a bibliography. Diigo is your answer!

Diigo is an online tool that provides a browser add-on that significantly improves research productivity. It allows users to bookmark and tag websites, but you can highlight portions of web pages or even apply sticky notes. The browser add-on will remember the highlights and sticky notes for future visits to the website as well. This means that the Diigo servers hold your entire collection of comments and highlights making it extremely easy to search, access, sort and share with friends of peers.

Diigo also keeps us green by substantially reducing the need to print WebPages onto paper.

So start Diigo-ing!

Memorizing a lot of information can be extremely daunting. Quizlet is an online learning tool used to help prepare students for upcoming tests and exams that require a lot of memorization. Quizlet lets students learn their own way and allows them to track their own progress.

Students can either enter their own information into the site or use existing tests that previous peers have already created.  Quizlet has various modes allowing students to work at their own pace.  One can first familiarize themselves with their newly created flashcards or they can choose to be tested. Quizlet has the ability to create matching, multiple choice, random, or ordered tests. If the student answers the term or definition correctly, Quizlet will move on. If the student is incorrect however, the term or definition will get cycled back into the deck of flashcards to be tested again.
